Who I Am
I am white, queer, nonbinary/trans, of (mostly) English and Norwegian ancestry, and live and work on Dakota/Anishinaabe land, presently known as the Twin Cities, Minnesota. I believe that healing in any one body is linked to healing in the collective, and that resistance to the dehumanizing forces of white supremacy, ongoing settler colonialism, and capitalism benefits us all. My understanding of well-being is informed by my own healing journey, and the good advice of various mentors in bodywork, talk therapy, energy work, movement and dance. In my free time I connect with beloved community and the outdoor world around me.
My Training
I am a trauma-informed, certified massage and shiatsu therapist with over 1,500 hours of accredited training and additional education in Barnes myofascial release, tension releasing exercises (TRE), craniosacral techniques, and qigong tuina. I am an active member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP), and received a B.A. in English Literature from Bowdoin College.
